Maps :: Oasis [The Sandy Ruins]
Oasis Overview

Oasis City Map

*Click picture for a larger map.
*You do NOT have to use this map to absolute specifications, be creative. But some people enjoy more realism and structure, its up to you!
Description: Ruined Egyptian cities, cities which once belonged in the sides of the mighty mountains stuck in the sand and places built right into the sands cover and dot this city. Dry, hot, water-less until you reach its shore, it's hard to imagine that anything can live here. It can be done, but it is a hard life, a desolate life and a dangerous life. The sun beats down like the flames of hell during the day and the moon freezes even the heartiest of travellers during the night times. Oasis is definitely not a paradise, but has a lot more defence than some might think.
Approximate Crossing Time: 12 Hours (diagonally)
Player Made Businesses
*Please only one house per character without permission otherwise
Please read our FAQ on how before making the business.
Pre-Existing Houses:
*Click the links to go to the house and on either this table, or the house thread itself, you can enlarge the pictures by clicking them. You can always stuff in as many people as you want, but really, it'd be cramped in smaller places with less "people" space. Please try to keep it realistic, upgrade houses or consider perhaps designing your own! Mods are always at a standby to help if you need it.
Player Made Houses:
*Please only one house per character without permission otherwise
Please read our FAQ on how before making the house.

Pros:Points of Interest:
- Harder for the undead or slow moving monsters/monsters who's bodies rely on water or are water based beings to get through. It takes hearty monsters to get to the small Oasis villages dotting the sandy wasteland.
- Mountain/cave type dwellings which are well above ground.
- An Oasis within an oasis; there is a little pond chillin' out in the Oasis map.
Cons:
- Hot days and cold nights.
- No electricity without a generator.
- Game animals are scarce unless you want to kill transportation animals for food or water.
- Sand storms.
- Quick Sand.
- Palace: The Royal Palace is left in ruin from its once splendid authority in years well passed.NPC Businesses
- Guard Towers: At all strategic points you will find towers that span higher than even the highest city wall. These are climbable and are probably where once great warriors kept watch over their city and its civilians.

Aka
Character 1 owns stall
Character 2 wants to run it with them/sell stuff at it/use it for whatever reason.
That's fine, but the mun of character 1 has to OK it, you can do that by just posting under their post with the permission so that it goes to their inbox and ours as well! Thank you.

PLAYER MADE HOUSES
Alternately you can use a e-floor plan website (some of which are listed on the faq post), throw the link to it over to us on one of our many methods (AIM: Survival Mods | PLURK: @SurvivalMods | PM it to us, Or here on this post too if you wish) and we'll be extremely happy to help you!
PLAYER MADE BUSINESSES
They don't have to be just about buying or selling things- they can be community services, or organizations (good or bad). The limitations are only your mind and what we think the game can handle (at this time. You never know when we'll prod you about it later if we don't think right now is the time to add something new to the mix).
We suggest our FAQ post on how to apply for a player business. Businesses with a building will be considered "permanent" jobs for the person owning the building and (unless otherwise stated) for the people working there- but that won't limit you in taking temporary jobs or even another permanent jobs later on.
